Sketch - 1980's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I drew this initially to try out a new style of drawing, and I ended up colouring it and using it in my A2 fine art college coursework. I liked the way the sketch turned out for a first try, and so I ended up using verithik crayons to colour it.

I drew the turtles after I started watching the original 80's cartoon, after I begun to enjoy the 2012 version. I drew this in college during a free study period, and a friend dubbed this the "Teenage Mutant Chubby Turtles" after I commended saying I had drawn them too chubby. I got a laugh out of that. I also got blisters on my fingers from pressing so hard with the crayons on paper to achieve the colour.
